More than 30,000 sightings of Trichoptera in 2023, and that’s not all – the Oligostomis Prize was awarded!<\/strong><\/p>\n

On March 31, 2023, the book “The Trichoptera of the Benelux” was presented at Waterschap de Dommel in Boxtel. The symposium also set the goal of collecting 25,000 observations of these aquatic insects. This goal was achieved and even greatly exceeded!!!. More than 30,000 sightings of Trichoptera were entered on Observation.com in 2023! We are very grateful to all observers and volunteers for reaching this great record !!!:-). To celebrate this great achievement, the Oligostomis Prize was created by the Semblis Foundation. This award will be given to the observers with the largest number of sightings and individuals, largest number of species, most new species and rediscovered species of Trichoptera in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
